Short description: What is MyFarmTrees?

MyFarmTrees is a digital platform that empowers smallholder farmers and rural communities to lead tree-based restoration of degraded landscapes, promoting resilience against climate change and improvement in local livelihoods. By leveraging mobile technology and blockchain, MyFarmTrees offers transparent monitoring from seed collection, through nursery work, to tree growth, ensures documentation and quality control, and is compatible with digital payment incentives for restoration efforts. Piloted in Kenya and Cameroon and expanding across Africa, ASEAN and LAC, the innovation has already supporting restoration of thousands of hectares, trained community nurseries, and is now scaling globally, giving smallholders essential tools and knowledge for effective, science-based landscape restoration.
